What sort of fashion statement are women making who wear sweat pants as pants for the day?
Written by Webmaster
I’ve discussed this with both a male and female coworker. Sweat pants worn while not on the way to/from or at a gym are a poor choice for clothing. Clint and Stacy say a woman has given up on fashion by wearing daily sweat pants.
BTW, sweat pants on a guy are a sloppy way to dress for the day.

Not sure it’s a fashion statement. I just think a person who wears sweat pants on the street for any reason other than that they are actually working out/going to or returning from somewhere where they work out is a slouch.
People who go shopping in sweat pants particularly annoy me. Would it be so terrible to put some jeans on? It only takes a few seconds.
Going to work in sweat pants (unless you’re a coach or something similar): sign of insanity.

Comfort is more important than impressing
or
She is kind of down on herself and doesn’t believe she’s worthy of putting her best foot forward because it wouldn’t be enough.

I don’t know. I think it’s a sign that they’ve given up and let themselves go. I get that when you have small kids, you can get messy and you just want to be comfy, but seriously, you can be comfy and wear sturdy clothes that wear well without resorting to sweatpants. It ain’t hard. Ditto with those huge stained t-shirts that are always worn with ‘em. Yikes.
I don’t even own one pair of sweatpants.

It says that she likes being comfortable.
And that she’s not a slave to fashion.
Sweats should not be worn to work however..that’s just unprofessional.
But after you’ve clocked out for the day..I see no problem with it.

Why are they a poor choice? It doesn’t fit with YOUR style? BS. I wear sweats all the time and couldn’t care less about fashion statements or any other statement.
Why is it sloppy? I’ll wear whatever I want.

I know if my stomach hurts, or I’m PMSing, or even if I am having a mental health day I wear sweatpants and oversized t-shirts. It’s also accompanied with ice cream.
Me and all my friends that are girls agree that a girl needs a sweats and t-shirt day at least once a month.

i think theyre highlighting the fact that those people are bogan dickheads (especially in conjunction with ugg boots and/or a little dog in a handbag)

That they want to be comfy.
I wonder if men who wear what’s comfy have likewise “given up on fashion”.
(How INSULTING!) xD

One of four things.
They’re fat & nothing else fits.
They are CPTs.
They like to be comfortable & don’t care for fashion.
Nothing else was clean.

The fashion statement is “I want to be comfortable today”. Today mine are bright pink and the sweatshirt is a 15 year old light gray that is about 6 sizes too big. Tonight I will get dressed up and try to go dancing- pain and all.
