Putting this together is a bear, but once you finally get it together it works great. If you are more than 5’8″ then this will be too small. The weight that it suggests for maximum is pretty close to being right on. The price is great for what you get with this product. In store prices for the same type of bench is $40.00 at least more. Size:
I’m 6-feet and, uh, “hefty”. The bench seems sturdy enough but is only marginally comfortable for me. IMO would be fine for smaller/thinner people and my 5’7″ “normal” sized wife finds it comfortable.
Assembly:
Not too hard. Directions are reasonably clear and call for two adjustable wrenches, hammer, and one each Phillips and flat-head screwdrivers. I didn’t need the hammer or screwdrivers as the pieces requiring them were already in place. As far as wrenches, I have a collection of metric open/box-end wrenches, sockets, and ratchets and these made assembly far easier than adjustable wrenches. Most of the nuts have 13mm heads, most of the bolts 14mm heads. A couple of bolts/nuts required 17mm and 19mm tools.
The directions also said two people were needed for assembly … maybe it would have been a little easier at times, but I did the entire job by myself without problem.
Surprise:
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the front support leg is designed to fold up under the seat to reduce storage space as I hadn’t seen this feature mentioned in any description. Just remove an “L” shaped rod (easy to do) and push the leg back. To set-up, pull the leg out to the upright position and insert the “L” rod.
Overall: We’re very pleased with this bench and plan to use it a lot.

I received this bench in December, but wanted to avoid tempting myself with more strengthening exercises prior to a major competition. So, I did not assemble it until last month.
Pros:
The bench is extremely sturdily constructed (the only more sturdy bench I found was a Hoist unit at the local fitness store retailing for somewhere near $275) for a bench of its type. It was simple to assemble (the diagrams clearly identify all of the components, and the hardware comes in a labeled package), and although I don’t believe this is mentioned in the literature, the bench folds mostly flat and could be pretty easily stored in a utility closet or something to that effect.
Con:
The only complaint I have, is that one of the lock nuts that comes with the bench was not threaded all the way through. This prevented me from hanging the dumbbell hangers that were included (this nut was one of several of it’s size). I don’t consider this a loss, because I didn’t intend to use them anyway, and the part could easily be replaced with $.60 at a local HW store.
I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a sturdy little weight bench. Rating: 5 / 5

Well, I bought it for my husband and after reading the reviews decided it would be sufficient for his weight and height. He hasn’t made any complaints so far and the bench seems very sturdy. Great price too Rating: 5 / 5

Bench arrived in less than two days. Easy to assemble and really lightweight, but sturdy. Bench is a little short for my liking but it works. Rating: 4 / 5
