I bet if the taxpayers stopped paying for the politicians’ (specifically congress) healthcare and they had to start paying their own medical bills, they would pass a universal healthcare system in two days lol. What incentive does Congress have to pass any kind of healthcare bill if they’re getting FREE medical themselves? They don’t give a shit, they could care less if you’re in pain. Not only do we pay for their medical, we cover their families too.

Agreed, it’s almost fitting the GOP’s healthcare plan that Rep. Grayson was describing in Congress. The plan is “Don’t get Sick”, but if you do “Die Quicker”.

I’ve had top notch healthcare all my life and I feel sorry for my fellow Americans that have to resort to these measures to get one-tenth the treatment I get. However, this is the problem with American healthcare system as I see it, the people! Many Americans have become way too complacent and uneducated. A good deal are easily duped into voting against policies that benefit them. Not knowing how corporation is robbing them of basic rights, they bicker about nonsense..gay rights, etc.

america when will u learn? u shud have public healt caer like in norway. its not that bad espasely now with people losing jobs and dont have money to pay for them self, butt the rich bitches dont think they will ever ned it, but soon u all can be stuck in the same situasion and then u will regret not having it! im freaking gla i liv in a contry wher its free beacus i never have to wory and thank god for that

If the pain is persistant and NSAIDs or other forms of anti-inflammatory drugs don’t work, then further investigations are needed. An x-ray would be very helpful in this case. But these further investigations shouldn’t have to be paid for by the patient.

Mje I’m glad I live in the Netherlands and pay a bit more income tax, just so we don’t have rediculous healthcare system situations like in the USA. Liberalism is good, but it went to the extreme in some cases in America. In the end, the government is responsible for the welbeing of it’s citizens.

I feel her in a way, right now I got a tooth issue (I got a filling, dentist basically didnt know what he was doing, now I prolly need a RC) thing is, I cant afford 1500 bucks for a RC, at best, it will be 300 for the RC and 300 for the crown, no insurance sucks!
This country doesnt care if we are in pain, it is a money hungry country. You got the cash, youre fine, if youre poor, basically a big FU.
I notice a lot of ppl insulting her, I bet most of you have insurance. This is a sad story.

I have a pretty good idea how she felt. I’ve been in excruciating pain that I had to suffer through because, despite working full time, I couldn’t afford healthcare. The pain makes you irrational.

I’m all for single-payer but her actions to get care are ridiculous. I wonder if she knows that rounds like .25s and .22s have a tendency to move around to other parts of the body even if she shot herself in the shoulder? It could have easily ended up in her heart. It is sad our county’s health care is corporate owned and run, and it’s shameful Obama did so little to change it, but no need to hurt yourself more in order to get care.
