I am going through the 30 day challenge, and working on a keyword.
The SEO competition data for off page factors is pretty bad, but the on page factors are good.
What weight does Google put on each factor? With on page factors and relevant content (Which it seems there isnt much currently based on on page factors), do I have any chance?
Thanks so much for all you do…
Daniel

At about 4:43 of the video, Anthony explains the onpage factors, but I’m confused about MS listing of the top ten ranked sites (or pages?) in the MS tool.
I don’t see the keyword(s) “ladies drivers” in the URL listed by MS in the sites/pages listed 2 thru 4, but it shows a “Y” that both of those keywords are included in their respective URL? Confused? Please clarify…

SEO is truly complex and not everyone can just have a website to test it on. TheMusicAge provides a platform for you to test your best SEO. Google “SEO TheMusicAge” or “TheMusicAge Marketing” for more information.

Yes, but red is so much more masculine of a word than pink…

I wished it would end a bit more specific instead with just “not too competitive” in the SEO matrix.
What is “not too competitive”? If just about all columns look ok excepot the first one. 9 out of 10 DA’s are red.. but if al the others are good to handle, is it still “not too competitive”?
And boy, this is the first time I hate being a bit colorblind!!

Thanks Anthony – Good comparisons – but it would be nice to have a bit more definitive info on how to assess the seo factors.
Maybe there are some guidelines to avoid certain parameters – e.g. don’t bother competing against Websites with DA more than 10 years for example (if that were true)
Hope you see what I mean. Although it’s probably not possible to give precise guidelines I bet there are some definite NO GO’s
Thanks – Dave

Since a couple of days ago, I can’t see the 30 DC videos on Firefox anymore (I think it started right after I accepted an automatic browser upgrade for Firefox).
Now I’m having to use Flock or some other browser. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Great clarity! I’ve never seen a steadier, better explanation of how to use an important software as in Anthony’s last few videos! Thank you!

I’m learning so much technical SEO strategies, I love it! But I would call the “red” areas “pink” as they are not “red.” a little peeve of mine.
cheers!

Good video, but “SEO COMPETITION” module is disable (This weapon available in the paid version of Market Samurai!)
How Can I use it while 30DC?
March 12th, 2010 at 5:11 am
Tanks for this…once I figured out where I needed to go to run this search it seemed so simple. I do have one comment about the video. Some of us are very new. It would be helpful for us to see the search step by step so that we know where to go to pull the data from. I was trying to click on SEO under my searches rather than backing out and running a new search nder SEO Competition. My guess is that I am not alone. Still rate the presentation a 5 star…it was excellent!

The micro niches I’m interested is somewhere between the “Ladies Driver” and “Golf Putter” niches as far as SEO Competition.
Would you consider chasing the “Golf Putter” niche or is it too difficult.
Btw, I love how the 30DC guys always throw out movie quotes in their videos. Good job Anthony!
